From the December, 2021, NDIC hearing dockets, this is a case, not a permit:
- Case 29115, Grayson Mill (Equinor), Briar Creek-Bakken, i) establish an overlapping 2200-acre unit 19/20/21/22-152-104; ii) establish an overlapping 2200-acre unt, 27/28/29/30-152-104; iii) establish an overlapping 2200-acre unit, 31/32/33/34-152-104; and, iv) establish an overlapping 2200-acre unit, 3/4/5/6-151-104, five wells on each; Williams, McKenzie counties.
Briar Creek is out in the middle of nowhere, certainly not something I would consider Tier 1. It will be interesting to see how Grayson Mill does. Interestingly, if these turn out to be decent wells, it opens up a whole new area with a potential for a lot of drilling locations, though I doubt anyone expects that at this point. But, of course, it depends on the price of oil.
