Happy Birthday: Hess' Antelope-Madison Unit B-523 -- December 1, 2017

Drilled in September, 1959, this well celebrated its 58th birthday by going off-line and remained off-line through November, 2017, but is still being reported as an active well. It has gone off-line before only to return after a few months.

Jump In Production For Newfield's Moberg Wells, December 1, 2017

Folks receiving royalty payments from the Newfield Moberg wells should see a hefty jump in their checks over the next few months. This well was just completed:
  • 32058, 1,898, Newfield, Moberg Federal 149-95-29-32-14HLW, Bear Den, 4 sections; Three Forks, 62 stages, 6 million lbs, t8/17; cum 68K 9/17;
In addition to this great well, there are several neighboring wells:
  • 26027, 434, Newfield, Moberg Federal 149-95-29-32-11H, t12/13; cum 45K 10/17; this has been an awful well from the beginning but in the past two months, an increase in production has been seen, albeit still not a great well; see production data below
  • 20170, 2,939, Newfield, Moberg Federal 149-95-29-32-2H, t5/12; cum 428K 10/17; this one is back on line after the neighboring frack but did not show any increased production -- at least not yet;
  • 22198, 857, Newfield, Moberg Federal 149-95-29-32-3H, t5/12; cum 460K 10/17; it is still shut in (because of neighboring frack activity) but it looks like the kind of well that might be responsive to neighboring fracks

But for mineral owners, if you've been seeing checks based on $45 oil and 600 bbls/month from this well, there should be a significant jump with $55 oil and 2,500 bbls/month.
