150 Rigs!

Ron Ness, President of North Dakota Petroleum Council, says he would not be surprised to see 150 active oil drilling rigs in North Dakota by the end of the year. Previous estimate was as high as 125. Current record: 105.

Please note the spelling used in the linked article for "fracked" and "fracking." The Williston Herald uses the same spelling I do! Just saying.

Arctic Sea Ice Back to Where It Was in 2001

From the National Snow and Ice Data Center, Boulder, Colorado

Arctic Sea Ice Extent "back to normal." The Arctic Sea ice is back to where it was in 2001. As far as I know, this has happened with no real change in CO2 emissions (except perhaps increased) since 2001.
