Happened earlier today in Miami. At least five deaths. Don't know the details. May have been mechanical issue, not necessarily pilot error, but regardless of what it was, speaks volumes about the inherent danger of flying.
How many sorties has the US Navy made of floating "postage stamps" in the past six months? In a combat zone. Speaks to the professionalism of our US Navy personnel.
A lot of "Americans" would like to see the US Navy fail just to be able to say, "I told you so, Trump."

The runways at Miami International Airport are not equipped with an Engineered Materials Arresting System, crushable concrete designed to bring planes that overshoot the runway safely to a stop, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Hannah Walden confirmed Sunday night.
The F.A.A. has long recommended that airports install the system, better known as EMAS. But the recommendation is not a mandatory requirement, and airports are able to use alternate F.A.A.-approved methods of mitigating runway overruns.
Lisa Walker and her husband have spent almost 10 hours at Miami International Airport. They’ve had three flights cancelled since the cargo plane overran the runway. Inside the terminal, Walker, who lives in Hurley, Mississippi, described long lines with frustrated travelers, who do not know when they will get home.
“This airport is packed for Labor Day weekend,” she said. “Some people are being told it will be Tuesday before they can even get a flight.”
