Trump: Most Transformational President Ever -- This Has Been Done Before -- Especially With Saudi Arabia -- But The Scope Appears To Be Record Setting -- October 10, 2025

Parse this statement and just imagine what it means for the surrounding community.

Let's put that $12 billion in perspective:

Does the $12 billion include the cost of purchasing the F-15Qs?

... and the "Q" stands for .... it sounds very coincidental ...

You think other countries might want something similar? Let's see, there's Cannon AFB in New Mexico, and Minot AFB in North Dakota. Just for starters.

The F-15D was my primary aircraft when assigned to Bitburg AFB (twice) back in the 1980s.

Link here to the Qatari F-15QA.

Note the reference to the "tail slide" in the note below.

In fact, I had the opportunity to experience the tail slide in 1984 or thereabouts, but the pilot felt I would not be able to handle it "psychologically." Absolutely terrifying. The pilot: a former F-4 Phantom backseater / WSO / navigator / Vietnam transitioned to F-15 pilot after the war. Colonel T__ H __.

President Trump and The Nobel Peace Prize

A reader wrote to suggest to me:

President Trump is perhaps the most "belligerent" president the US has had in modern times, particularly in his rhetoric.

Appointed a junior officer/soldier as his SecDefense rather than a statesman.

Renamed the Department of Defense: the Department of War.

Leading up to the Nobel Prize final decision-making days, President Trump started unprecedented airstrikes on Venezuelan ships in international waters (in some cases may have been in Venezuela's territorial waters); questionable whether it is legal.

Peace treaty between Hamas and Israel signed only after President Trump threatened major military action against Hamas; literally "gun-held-to-head" to obtain signature. After Nobel Peace Price announced no assurance there would be any follow-through on the signed agreement.

In two millennia (needs to be fact-checked) there has never been any lasting peace in that area of the world. Nothing to suggest this "peace treaty" will be any different.

President Trump says US military needs to use US cities as training grounds.

Orders various state national guards to "blue" cities; Federal judges stop those orders.

And some thought he would get the Nobel Peace Prize. Only in their wildest dreams.

Later: what in the world is the White House even thinking? Link here. I sure hope Trump doesn't go wobbly on health care insurance for illegal immigrants, a bill that was to be temporary in nature, and questionable to begin with. Apparently adds another $1 trillion+ to the budget.
