A reader suggests Tim Cook will buy Intel.
We'll come back to this later. Other "stuff" to blog.
But one snippet:
Intel's new chips under development include the next-generation client CPU platform, Panther Lake, using the new 18A process node, and the 14A process node with high-NA EUV technology for future chips. They are also developing advanced packaging technology to create larger AI chips and are working on next-generation AI accelerators like Jaguar Shores, though they have conceded the AI training market to competitors.
But, Tim Cook now has an offer he can't refuse and President Trump, I assume, is going out to look at horses.

The Offer

My Initial Response
Strong feelings. Against.
Won't repeat my original thoughts.

Buffett
Warren Buffett's BRK-B had a huge stake in AAPL.
Then, one day, BRK-B started selling significant amounts of AAPL.
The reason was never given. The selling seemed to occur about the same there was a lot of social media chatter about China invading Taiwan. The end of TSMC as we know it. TSMC is Apple's primary fab.

Tim Cook
Famed logistician. Knows the risk of a single-point "supplier."
Could Intel be a second source? Could Apple make it work?
