- Spanish flu: one-third (33%) of global population became infected;
- herd immunity: 70%;
- currently: US population, 3% infected, maybe as high as 10%;
- Spanish flu: no vaccine ever developed;
- "seasonal flu" vaccine: has been around since the 1930s; at best 45% effective; changes every year;
- Chinese flu vaccine: universal, effective, trusted vaccine at least a year from now
