- China and the US to impose a moratorium on new trade tariffs;
- the newly installed Mexican president has already taken steps to calm the situation at the border;
- NPR retracted a very, very negative (and a very, very wrong) story on Jared Kushner;
- WTI is at its sweet spot, but is now trending up about 3%;
- government shutdown is no more than political theater and everybody knows it;
- and, of course, the all-time favorite, the "Santa Claus rally" needs to start soon.
Christmas tradition: Sophia was fortunate enough to attend The Nutcracker today. This has become a real family tradition. Grammy takes the granddaughters to the ballet to ensure that they each all see it at least once. I think the two older granddaughters saw it twice while the family lived in Boston.
Today, was Sophia's first time to see it. While others were reading the program, Sophia was reading The Nutcracker of the "Little Golden Book" series.
I've never seen it.
The reviews are in: the Boston ballet's Nutcracker is several times better than the Dallas ballet's staging. But Sophia enjoyed it all.
