Jim Cramer: I won't be watching any CNBC or any financial talk shows for the rest of this week. Not sure when I will get back in to listening to analysts tell me "they predicted" all of this weeks ago." No one saw this coming.
The "tell": in poker there is something called "the tell." Anticipating the "Blue Wave" or more accurately the "Blue Tsunam,i" there was also a "tell." It occurred on/through social media, August 12, 2026.

- US Senate: see below. Will the US Senate take up / introduce any new bill until we see how the US House will act?

- SB #1: Freedom to Vote Act
The president may want to act on those pardons sooner than later. Most recently:
- US House: In the 119th U.S. Congress (2025–2026), House Bill 1 (H.R. 1) was the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).
- US Senate: In the 118th US Congress, (2023–2024), Senate Bill 1 (S.1) was the Freedom to Vote Act.
- There was no S.1 bill in 2025.
- The number S. 2 was held in reserve by leadership for over a year and was eventually used for the Secure America Act, a major immigration and border security budget reconciliation package introduced by Senator Lindsey Graham.
The next big question: who will be the "fall guy"? This is an interesting one. It's hard to argue there won't be a fall guy. It's hard to argue it won't be from the military side? Hunter S Thompson: you have to catch the wave. If you delay, you will miss the wave. Pete Hegseth might say, "shoot now, ask later."

The US Senate's role, is a bill required?
The US Senate needs 67 votes to convict. As it stands now, there will be 54 Democrats in the US Senate and possible as many as 56. Could the Republicans deliver 13 votes? What happened to Susan Collins?
No US President has ever been convicted but one was acquitted by just one vote.
President Nixon read the tea leaves and resigned before the US House could act.

How many republican senators will be up for re-election in 2028? Nineteen (19), including John Hoeven (ND) and John Thune (SD).
They say "bad news does not get better with age" -- attributed to Pete Correll, Georgia-Pacific. The president and his party are now pointing fingers at each other. This could all be over much faster than anyone thinks.
Hunter S Thompson: you have to catch the wave. If you delay, you will miss the wave. This was not a wave; this was a tsunami. Even Trump's strongest supporters are unhappy with much of what he is said to have done. Wait until we start seeing the polls.
No matter what side of the aisle one is on, it is incredibly fascinating to watch this plays out.
