SpaceX: Catch And Re-Release -- October 16, 2026

Locator: 51961SPACEX.

Query:

Apparenlty Elon Musk / SpaceX are building out a huge footprint in southwest Louisiana and will no longer be using Florida to launch (at least on a regularly scheduled basis). To the average viewer, how does SpaceX's proposed footprint in southwest Louisiana (looking to have 12 launch pads eventually) compare to the NASA launch footprint in Florida?
Reply:

So, SpaceX's core philosophy: catch and re-release!

In a lengthy discussion with you some time ago, answering a query I had, you told me how much net profit SpaceX is currently recording per launch. Do you remember that number?

These numbers are amazing. I can't think of many companies that would have a return like this on any one given product. And, according other sources, SpaceX is looking at ten launches / day compared to one every few weeks (months?) right now.
