Chatterjack 31 -- October 24, 2026 -- IN PROGRESS

Locator: 52026RACE.

Link here.

The race is named Chattajack 31 because the endurance course is 31 miles long. It has nothing to do with the number of times it has been run. The event is a point-to-point paddleboard and kayak race that takes athletes down the Tennessee River, winding straight through the scenic Tennessee River Gorge. It was founded by paddler Ben Friberg, who launched the inaugural event in 2012.

This is the fourth consecutive year that our daughter is paddling this race. She is about one-hour from the finish.

She is on-track to come in similarly to last year:

  • 7 hours, 21 minutes, 59 seconds;
  • averaging 4.29 mph;
  • finish: #435 -- 775 entrants -- paddleboards and kayaks.
