The easiest book I read this summer was:
- A Song For Everyone: The Story of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Lingan, c. 2022.
It was so easy, and almost so mundane I almost quit reading the book about two-thirds of the way through. Then I hit chapter 23 and, wow, what a great book!
I re-typed chapter 23 and posted it here.
Like the rug in The Big Lebowski that tied the whole room together, this chapter tied the Vietnam War, the 60's, San Francisco, and CCR together.
A nice summer beach book.
In a funny sort of way, it will end up on the bookshelf as a reference book. Who wudda thought?
