Wanna Watch US LNG Plummet In Price? HODL -- August 30, 2022

Updates

August 30, 2022: by the way, for those who are unable to connect the dots, these are talking heads telegraphing us that the Biden administration is working on policies to ban / limit US LNG exports.

  • Last week, both SecEnergy and the president warned that if refiners did not voluntarily limit LNG exports to Europe, the government would step in.

  • net imports: 11%
  • renewables: 6%

August 30, 2022: this is truly amazing. Pure serendipity. Purely coincidental.

Yesterday, last night actually, I checked in to see what ISO NE was up and noted a change, posted it, and went to bed. This a.m. first thing on my twitter feed, ISO NE is the headline story and is going to remain the headline story for US energy today: link here and link here. I may not even bother blogging any more today. Not! LOL.

  1. NEISO needs to get an American flagged ship to move the LNG from USA and not buy it offshore. They have been buying LNG from Russia a year or 2 ago.
