It also shows how incredibly deadly the early Covid-19 virus was, even accounting for all the "shenanigans" with regard to counting and definitions. And how non-deadly the current variant, Omicron, is. But whatever it is, how ever deadly it may or may not be, it has kept "seasonal flu" at bay.
But even with all that, this graphic blows me away. "Everyone" agrees that Covid-19 is almost a non-issue with regard to children. They either didn't get the early variants or they got a mild version of the current variant, the Omicron variant. And look at how pediatric deaths from "seasonal flu" have all but disappeared. Does someone not deserve to be nominated for a Nobel Prize in Medicine / Physiology if, in fact, the virus was "gain-of-function-manufactured-in-the-lab"?
