Earlier today there seemed to be a discrepancy between what Baker Hughes was reporting and what the NDIC was reporting when it came to counting rigs. See this post.
A reader provided the answer:
- Baker Hughes only counts rigs that are actually, really turning the bit
- NDIC counts rigs even if they are only in the process of setting up
I've learned (from Slawson) there are "no" typos when it comes to data that is posted by the NDIC or Baker Hughes.
