The Political Page, T+311 -- November 28, 2017

She is so correct and I love it:
“By 2040, about 70% of Americans are expected to live in the 15 largest states. They will have only 30 senators representing them, while the remaining 30% of Americans will have 70 senators representing them,” MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted over the weekend.
Actually, it's even better than that. Most of those living in the "largest" states will be living in the urban centers in those states. But it's a nice soundbite that can be easily remembered: "70 - 30."

She sees this as a threat to democracy; I see quite the opposite.

This is exactly what the Founding Fathers were concerned about when writing the constitution -- that the less populated rural areas were not marginalized. That's why the US is a republic, not a pure democracy.

California Mandates 10% Of Parking Spaces To Have Charging Units

Link here.

That pretty much completes the picture for parking as mandated in California:
10% charging spots for EVs
10% handicapped parking
10% for government vehicles
10% for take-out orders from restaurants
10% for Raiders fans
10% for Governor Jerry Brown's supporters
10% for illegal immigrants without drivers licenses
10% for car pool drivers
10% for designated drivers
10% for Native Americans
I guess I'll have to buy a Raiders' jersey.
