STACK, The Permian Not The Only Plays To Have Multiple Formations -- October 22, 2017

See the November, 2017, dockets:
  • 26211, North Range Resources, request to re-complete the Duncan Federal 30-24 well (#6959) in the Scairt Woman field into the Birdbear formation, McKenzie County
History of this well:
  • first drilled in 1979. The first target was the Madison formation
  • two years later, re-entered to target the Red River (1981)
  • then in 1995, it was re-entered to target the Duperow
All three formations are now PNA (abandoned).
  • the Masdison last produced a bit of oil in 4/17
  • the Duperow last produced a bit of oil in 3/17
  • the Red River produced until 4/95
Total production for the well so far: 411,291 bbls of crude oil; 8,965,521 MCF of natural gas.

By formation:
  • Madison: 86,477 bbls; gas: 77,402 MCF
  • Duperow: 147,281 bbls; gas 214,686 MCF
  • Red River: 177,533 bbls; gas 8,673,433 MCF (no typo)
