First Half, 2014, Statistics -- Permits

Note: this data is from my databases. I make mistakes but I bet the data isn't too far off. 

As of June 30, 2014, there have been 1,398 oil and gas permits awarded, which puts "us" on track for 2,388 permits for the full calendar year (2014).

Last year, as of this date, June 30, 2013, there had been 1,200 oil and gas permits awarded which put the state on track for 2,420 permits for the entire year (2013). The state actually issued 2,671 permits for calendar year 2013; about 30 were canceled during the year.

For calendar year 2012: 2,521 permits were issued and approximately 144 were canceled.
