Bruce- Last night I was watching the CBS Evening news (Friday February 24) and they had a segment on the extreme difference in pump prices in the country with a map of the U.S. identifying states by color with highest and lowest prices. The midwest had the lowest by almost a $1.00 and the reason given was the oil from ND and Canaday. The reason given for the west coast being so high was the had to purchase higher price oil from overseas. That clip is no longer viewable on the full version of CBS news on line!!! it has been replaced with a differnt story on gas prices!!! Obviously trying to protect Obama's decision to kill the Keystone.
If the price of gasoline continues to trend higher, I think it will become more and more difficult not to report on it, and it will become more and more difficult not to talk about Obama killing the Keystone.
The Keystone, of course, has nothing to do with the current price of oil/gasoline, but it is emblematic of the president's national energy policy which is to kill coal, slow roll the oil industry, and funnel money to his friends and former staffers on the payroll of solar companies. It is interesting that there appears to be more Obama interest in solar than in wind, when, in fact, solar has even less potential than wind, as a real source of energy for large urban areas.
Bruce-

Great link on ABC, thank you. It allowed me to post a Saturday morning commentary:
