Apparently we missed the news earlier today that the big one (as in: earthquake) finally hit the west coast overnight and the entire western US fell into the ocean.
US Highway 1 now runs smack dab through the middle of North Dakota, previously known as ND State Highway 57 (through Devils Lake):
And another video:
Minnesota (but not Minneapolis) experienced the all time low pressure ever, something like 28.22 near Duluth. Here in Minneapolis we had sustained high winds for more than two days. The TV weather said it was the equivalent of a Category three hurricane in terms of winds and barometric pressure. Land slows it down but winds in the 50 to 60 MPH range. I was hoping that it would blow away my leaves but no such luck! No snow here but up to a foot in Northern Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteI was told the same for points in North Dakota: all-time record low barometric pressure. Quite remarkable.
