The Damavand Combined Cycle Power Plant, located near Tehran, is generally considered the largest power plant in Iran, with a nameplate capacity of approximately 2,868 MW. It is a critical thermal facility for the capital's electricity. Other major power plants include the Kerman Combined Cycle Power Plant (1,912 MW) and the Ramin Steam Turbine Power Plant (1,890 MW).
