Foundries:

Market: this "argument" is now getting tedious. Look in the mirror: are you using AI (ChatGPT, Grok, Claudie, Gemini)? 

Tonight at the social, five of five family members -- three of them not particularly tekkie -- were all using AI -- one was coding using Grok; the others were using ChatGPT. And all five in their sixties and older. AI uses at last 10x whatever a simple Google search used.

• comparing AI to the dot-com bubble suggests a lot of folks don't understand the difference;
• if the "bears" are correct, who ends up holding the bag?  Apple, Microsoft, etc, or Nvidia, AMD, etc?
• the argument won't be settled for several years; but right ow, it sounds like the bears are kicking themselves for not buying Nvidia back in 2012.

Charley Crockett: something doesn't add up.

• I listened to mostly country / western music on my cross-country trip:
• eighteen hours on the road listening to the radio; 90% was country / western
• country from classic to today's country; in other words, every genre;
• I did not hear one song by Charley Crockett.
• Charley Crockett had 15 studio albums since 2025
• 2023: nominated for Artist of the Year, Album of the year, Song of the Year
• first Grammy Award nomination in 2025 -- that is this year! -- $10 Cowboy

The BYD results were worse than the headline numbers. People don't seem to be paying attention. Sales were way worse than expected; margins were even worse.
