As I grow older, I seem to need less, and less, as the walls begin to close in. A one-bedroom apartment is enough -- slightly smaller than the one-bedroom-one-den apartment we have now, but I don't think I could ever give up the bat cave. I need a bat cave for my top-shelf books; for my few (and getting fewer) pieces of memorabilia; and, finally, for my sanity. Having said that, our kitchen is perhaps the best kitchen we've ever had.
