Before we get started: President Trump deploys the 101st Airborne to the southern border. The 82nd Airborne and the 10th Mountain Division are on standby; they have been sent "warning" orders that they may augment the 101st. A lot of federal money being "sent" to Texas.

Now, back to the Colombian dust-up.  

US-Colombia? This is how The NYT sees it:

Coffee and flowers. LOL.

OAC was particularly concerned about inflationary effects with regard to coffee and flowers. LOL. I cannot make this up. Talk about tone-deaf. I can guarantee you Americans will give up Starbucks and flowers if it means fewer Colombian murderers and rapists on American streets.

Trump: posts FAFO. Seen everywhere on TikTok. Maureen Dowd, apparently, was completely unaware.

When Colombia "dumped on" Trump, it was immediately posted as a "breaking story" by The NYT. When the story broke that the Colombian president caved, from The NYT: crickets. LOL.  

It looks like if one wants breaking news for the next four years, one will need to check in with Fox, not The NYT. Now, 30 minutes later, and The NYT still hasn't reported it. 

At 5:39 p.m. CT, The NYT updates its front-page headlines but has not yet updated the Colombian story. There will be a lot of egg on my face if the story turns out to be bogus. Let's check X. Apparently it's real, link here. Later: 11:31 p.m. CT, The NYT finally has a "breaking" headline that confirms that Colombia "caved." However, the original story has hardly changed. The lede remains the same and only later in the article is it mentioned that Colombia will bring back the criminals on the Colombian president's plane. Wow. Fox News scooped the The NYT by several hours. Anyway, enough of this.

The one-two punch. SecState Rubio; President Trump.  

Mexico watching closely.

Again, it needs to be fact-checked, confirmed, vetted before ABC will report it.

I give up. Almost an hour after the story broke and Fox News reported it and X verified it, The NYT has not still not reported. Apparently The NYT is waiting for the OKAY from AOC. Wow, this is amazing; another 15 minutes goes by and The NYT still not reporting it.

To bring "dignity" to these murderous criminals, Colombian president will bring them back in style in his own presidential plane. Okay.  Wow, the NY Times scooped by Fox -- NY Times, at 5:30 p.m. CT, is still not reporting this story. Apparently it doesn't fit their narrative. Again, it's possible the story is bogus. 

Not yet being reported by The New York Times. It appears The NYT simply can't update as quickly as news changes. The big story was not Trump's reaction; the big story was Colombia's reaction, how fast it caved.
