The new president is going to have some incredible numbers to beat:
- employment continues to grow; most recent report, unemployment ticked lower;
- inflation story is however one wants to interpret the numbers
- the equity markets are at near-all-time highs
- for savers, they haven't had it this good in quite some time
- the price of gasoline, though expensive, has been trending down
- and, now, most recent GDPNow figures suggest a 3.0% growth rate for Biden's last quarter as president.
I'm not saying it's the greatest economy of all times, but these are pretty good numbers with which the incoming president's numbers will be compared.
