Absolutely Fascinating

Jobs report, September, forecast:

 

Right now, the Fed is only looking at the jobs numbers. 

So, if jobs come in significantly worse, Fed on course to continue cutting rates.

If jobs come in significantly better, suggesting economy much better than expected, Fed could delay the next small cut already baked in. Unlikely.  The numbers would have to be incredibly “good” for the Fed to even think about any delay in a small cut.

  For the archives. I don't have a dog in this fight. But it certainly suggests the Big Three are confident EV mandates will be delayed. Or the pivot to even larger gas-guzzling EVs is an existential issue.
