Locator: 46303EVS.

Updates

December 23, 2023: GM suspends sales of the Chevy Blazer EV SUV due to software quality issues.

December 18, 2023: opinion pieces.

December 16, 2023: GM under Mary Barra -- a lost decade. A real debacle.

December 15, 2023: GM's homage to Ford's Edsel.

December 14, 2023: an opinion piece on the GM EV experience.

December 14, 2023: it seems like there is a trend here, that began almost immediately after the Shawn Fain strike ended. I'm not sure how well it worked out for several (?) thousand UAW workers who got a huge raise but lost their jobs. Maybe I'm missing something.

December 14, 2023: counterintuitively TSLA shares are up and doing very well following JPow's speech. So, apparently I'm wrong -- see an earlier post -- the US EV market is going to do just fine. Betting against the US EV market is like trying to predict the price of oil: both are fool's errands.

Bearish on the auto sector. Link here to an excellent CNBC video. Four data points at the link. One almost gets a feeling we're witnessing the implosion of the US EV experiment. Shareholders support the move: F up 7%% today; GM up 5% today. Lucid up 15%. Polestar up 5%.

GM lays off 24% of Cruise work force, link here. Almost a quarter of the Cruise workforce was corporate? Low-hanging fruit: call me crazy but it seems this is exactly where AI might be of some help.

No longer on cruise control: link here.
