Gasoline, the price: all of a sudden, a number of stories on sudden rise in price of gasoline.
Of course, again, most stories, tweets, x-notes without analysis.
- RBOB futures hit new 2023 high
- worries about
- XOM Baton Rouge refinery downtime
- Monroe Energy turnaround in September
- Also, corroborates my argument that the "choke point" in US gasoline affordability is not the SPR, but rather the US capacity to refine oil.
Faux environmentalists: the gift that keeps on giving -- link to Charles Kennedy;
- if it's by Charles Kennedy, you know it will be good
- a huge amount of data posited in one article -- a must read
- TC Energy: will sell 40% of its Columbia Gas and Columbia Gulf pipelines
- new joint venture: Global Infrastructure Partners
- TC energy will continue to operate
- to raise money too pay for Canadian pipeline
- but look at this!
Acquired by TC Energy in 2016, the 11,899-mile Columbia Gas Transmission system extends from New York State to the Midwest and Southeast, serving as a link between major natural gas basins and major markets. Columbia Gulf Pipeline, for its part, is 3,367 miles and supplies Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky, and connects to every major pipeline in the U.S. Gulf Coast and to additional Midwestern lines. The two pipeline networks deliver a substantial portion of daily U.S. natural gas demand, including around 20% of the supply for U.S. LNG exports.
More on this later, perhaps.
