This is the problem with "original content."
Interestingly, one major supplier of streaming content, YouTube, made the decision in 2020 to do away with all original content.
Apple, too, is in the same boat -- spending excessively on original content.
Expect subscription price for Amazon Prime to increase significantly this year.

That showed up in my "news feed" yesterday. Note the date this article was originally posted. One of my pet peeves: click bait in which old articles are re-cycled.
