SPR release. The most recently announced -- today's announcement -- regarding the SPR release -- this will be the second largest release ever from the SPR. More to follow, I'm sure. See this link sent by a reader (in comments).
Inflation? What inflation? Amazon generally has competitive prices. Blue Diamond Almonds at Amazon today: 16-ounce pack with tax would be over $8 per pack. Why would I notice, or even care?
When I went to pick up my photos at Walgreens -- which are 50% off their regular price through this weekend, including enlargements -- they had shelves and aisles full of Blue Diamond Almonds on sale, all varieties, mostly 16-ounce packs, but also the other sizes in resealable packs and the classic tins. Walgreens says their regular price for 16-ounce resealable pack is $9.99 which sounds about right when compared to the Amazon price.
But right now, and I don' know how long the sale goes on, Walgreens is selling these Amazon $9.99-packs for $5.99. Huge, huge bargain. I very seldom buy almonds, too expensive, but I couldn't pass up this deal.
Per ounce:
- Amazon: 47 cents / ounce
- Walgreens: $5.99 / 16 = 37 cents / ounce
Inflation? What inflation? Amazon has dropped the price of its top laptop computer by $150, from $999 to $850.
Amazon has Apple's 256GB M1 MacBook Air for $849.99, down from $999.00. This sale is only available in Gold, and it's sold directly from Amazon with delivery as soon as January 27 for most residences in the United States.
I believe this is the best price ever for this computer. This is the best chip Apple has right now.
Earnings. By the way, speaking of Apple -- "Apple expected to report best quarter in company's history." Link here.
