Daily average for the past week remains steady at around 550,000 vaccinations given per day across the US, but the most recent 24-hour report was horrible, possible the worse on record since tracking began:

Note the incredible logistics process: ordering / receiving / anticipating demand / etc: the seventh column. The percent of vaccination doses shipped that is actually administered. Some might argue that 14% wastage is awful high. I don't know.
wonder why the current Covid surge is being led by the countries with the highest vaccination rates (ie, the UK, the US, and core Europe)?
ReplyDeleteeven Israel, supposedly the first country to be fully vaccinated, has seen new cases rise from less than 10 a day in early June to over 2000 yesterday…over the past week, Israel has had more new cases than Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Egypt combined, all of whom have vax rates under 10%…
It is peculiar. I'm sure the White House and Dr Fauci can explain it.
