Notes From All Over -- Late Morning Edition -- January 3, 2021

Anticipation: equity futures tonight.

NASCAR: "classic NASCAR"  -- Fox Sports 1 -- 2011 Talladega championship.  Three abreast at the finish line. Jimmie Johnson wins by 3/16th's of an inch. Jimmie Johnson, Clint Boyer, Jeff Gordon. Four drafting teams at the very end: Jimmie Johnson/Dale Earnhardt, Jr; Jeff Gordon/Mark Martin; Clint Bowyer/Kevin Harvick; and Carl Edwards/Greg Biffle.

Everybody watches NASCAR for the "big one" and Talladega is known for the "big one." This race is a taped race, obviously. With less then 50 laps to go, the network cuts to a commercial and when they return, they show a replay of the "big one" that occurred during the commercial break. Are you kidding me?

With "54 to go," advice from crew chief to one of the drivers, "Start pushing it up, and keep turning left."

New blogging series: worst predictions ever. We'll start with Patrick "we'll-never-see-snow-again" Kennedy.

Speaking of snow:
