OPEC basket: $17.00 -- at oilprice.com -- I can't find anything on this; not reflected at "official" OPEC website, where it still shows $23.25/bbl; this has to be in error, but it's unusual to see errors of this magnitude at oilprice.com; note Brent jumped almost 7%; here's the screenshot:

oilprice.com has a lot of wonky glitches causing fictitious moves like that. I wouldn't remark on anything you get only for there. Look for some separate news articles. And those from something respectable like Reuters. No, Seeking Alpha does not count. If you don't see it, just ignore oilprice.com
ReplyDeleteThank you. That's what I thought. I do believe I saw it once before over at oilprice.com -- something so unusual it had to have been an error. Interestingly enough, the "error" carries through to other pages at oilprice.com also, which means the various data points are linked with each other throughout the site.
DeleteWe'll know first thing tomorrow morning when it's corrected.
