XOM will expand its ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) production, data points:

• Fawley refinery near Southampton, UK
• will increase ULSD production by nearly 45%
• $1 billion project
• Britain's largest integrated facility
• Fawley will be the most efficient in the UK
• should reduce UK's need to import diesel fuel; UK imported approx one-half of its diesel supply in 2017
• should create up to 1,000 jobs
• anticipates a 2021 startup
