Hess Donates $5 Million For New Energy Complex, UND, Grand Forks
The Dickinson Press is reporting:
The University of North Dakota received a $7.5 million donation Thursday
to fund the building of a Collaborative Energy Complex for the College
of Engineering and Mines.
Hess Corp., a New York City-based integrated oil and natural gas
company, donated $5 million. The state gave an additional $2.5 million
from the North Dakota Higher Education Challenge Fund, which was set up
to help fund and encourage donations to higher education.
The more than 30,000-square-foot building will be on the southeast part
of campus between Leonard Hall and Upson Hall I, bridging Upson Hall I,
Upson Hall II, Harrington Hall and the Wilson M. Laird Core and Sample
Library together to create one large center.
