    1. This was a huge presentation. Daniels County in Montana is part of the Williston Basin/Bakken -- located along the Canadian border, west of Williston.

      Should be very interesting.

  2. When reading your daily permit updates how can one tell which operator received a permit for a specific field? I sell water and try calling on the companies that you list when I see a field near my water source. Unfortunately I come off as a fool when I just try guessing. Thanks for everything you do.

    1. It's available for free/no subscription at the NDIC website.

      Click on NDIC website:

      https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/

Then, at that "front page," look at the sidebar on the left. The fifth "button" down is the "Daily Activity Reports." Click on that and then go to the date.

Note, that at the end of the month, if the data is not yet posted, you may need to make sure the correct month is loaded (if that makes sense). You will see what I mean when you visit the site.

It would be too much typing to type in all the new permits -- otherwise I would gladly do it. I do type all the data into my own Excel spread sheets, but due to possible errors I feel I cannot post it at the blog.

If for some reason you can't find data / daily activity reports, let me know and I will see what else one can do.
