I agree completely. KOG has the best acreage in the bull's eye of the Bakken. Infrastructure is in place.
This is not an investment site; be advised of disclaimer at the sidebar at the right. I accumulate shares of KOG on pullbacks, although I doubt KOG will pullback to the level at which I would buy more.

I find this statement from the article hits the nail on the head and it shows how absurd this has become.
“Really? We’re going to ban fracking in a state where no one wants to frack?” Christie said. “Even if we say the practice is good, nobody’s coming here to frack. There’s no shale. This is the type of nonsense they engage in because they’re grappling for political advantage.”
My bet says their will be no fracking ban in North Dakota primarily due to the depth of the formations however their will be more red tape.
I would like to suggest your next poll asks your readers - Do you think there will be a fracking ban of some type in North Dakota?

I agree 100% and actually thought of your comments as a stand-alone post in the past; just never got around to it, I guess.
Delete1. Yes, absolute insanity to ban fracking in a state where there is no "tight" oil requiring fracking.
2. I also agree with your thoughts on likelihood of banning fracking. Fracking won't be banned but 500 pages of rules and regulations will be posted; it will slow down things dramatically. I wouldn't be a bit surprised that the majors like XOM and COP who have lots of natural gas (that doesn't require fracking) may actually endorse more rules/regulations to raise the price of natural gas or bring down production.
3. I apologize about taking so long in changing polls. It's a real pain to do the polls, so I tend to procrastinate. There's a reason I don't want to poll the likelihood of a fracking ban but I cant' articulate the reason. But I will think about it.

ReplyDeleteWe are soooooo lucky to have a site like yours and a person that is as well versed as you to go to. If I were to post something like the comment above at another web site I would have the heavy hammer of Dufus and get Teagued to the floor. That is the point. At least you allow different views from the masses without sanitizing and censorship. Your way of running things here allow more of the fruits from your readers to come to the table that may never have been thought of by others.

Thank you for the kind comments, but I do monitor the comments so they do not get out of hand. One only has to look at how Yahoo!Financial message boards become disasters without monitoring.
DeleteI wouldn't say I'm all that versed in the subject. I've learned a lot due to the blog, but without question Teegue is the real authority, and he/she comments just enough to maintain interest/credibility.
