Production at the Bakken Shale in North Dakota could double over the next five years. But until new pipelines are built to handle the surge, companies are increasingly relying on rail to get the oil to market.It has also fueled a big truck boom. The Western Star truck factory will be adding a second shift starting in January, 2012. Workers are already working mandatory overtime. The company recently hired more workers in two rounds of hiring.
