North Dakota: Número Uno in Honey Production For Seventh Straight Year.
The Agriculture Department said production in the state last year totaled 46.4 million pounds, up 34 percent from 2009.
California second in production with 27.5 million pounds. South Dakota was third with 15.6 million pounds.
The number of colonies in North Dakota increased by 13 percent, to 510,000 colonies, a record high.
