I was just out in southern California, and we all remarked how cool it was.
It's now being reported as one of the coolest summers on record; fruits and vegetables failing to ripen.
I can't make this stff up.
(Yes, I know this has nothing to do with the Bakken.....except, expect wheat prices for farmers in the Williston area to go up also this summer ... Yes, I know it's a stretch.)
My Weather Report retort.
ReplyDeleteSummer in N. CA has been very cool in my region...35 miles due East of San Francisco, in the heart of Contra Costa County. My Heirloom tomatoes (I have 30 plants, and a few hundred green tomatoes)have only now begun to ripen since the last week of July...last year I picked my first tomatoes June 3rd.
Lots of foggy nights below 60ยบ too.
I live here now (San Diego)..yup it's true..
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. We just got to Grand Forhs, ND, on Amtrak. Not much time to write now, so will follow up later.
