COP: the data below is almost unbelievable -- spend some time looking at these numbers -- the one that jumped out at me -- huge earnings increase and this was on $61-oil. Say what? And that was a 32% jump y/y.
Quick, tell me: when did you last see $61-oil? Yeah, that's what I thought. CAPEX: oil companies doing more with less. Adjusted earnings more than doubled ($3.27 vs $1.61). And look at that beat on revenue. Holy mackerel.
AAPL, pre-market: shares of anything seldom open as high -- when the market is this exuberant -- as the pre-market trade numbers, but, regardless, this is stunning. Up another $5 pre-market. Give me a break. Just five days ago the headlines all suggested Apple was in a world of hurt. Folks might want to take another look at this (link here).
