If I have to choose between consumers and producers, it is a no brainer to me. Hope that prices stay low. I like shale because it MODERATES OPEC, not because it benefits from it.
This makes me different than producers, permalongs, etc. But puts me square in the middle of the anti peak oilers.
I was just reading through the 2014 Drilling Deeper report by the most uber serious and data oriented peak oiler. He thought 2014 shale gas production would be peak in 2016 and we'd be at ~30BCF/d from shale in 2020.

Can't disagree. US Goldilocks economy? US coming out of lockdown; and energy prices will remain lower for longer?

Instead we are now doing 70-75 BCF/d from shale. More than double. And in the face of Corona.

What a fucking idiot. Peak oilers suck butt.
Pretty amazing, isn't it? Someone did not understand free market capitalism. And drill, drill, drill.
