This is one of those "fake stories" we hear so much about.
It's not that there is all that much (if any) more oil being produced overseas or that more is getting through the strait -- most of this increase in "oil-in-transit" is simply a one-off due to "logistics issues." And the real problem, at least for US consumers, is refining.

Since presidents Trump and Putin seem to be getting along so well, one wonders if US immigration authorities might deport illegal immigrants to Russia if sending those immigrants to their home countries might pose a threat to these returnees -- the ICE's "third-nation" program.
