For investors: one can't possibly invest in every new company manufacturing drones or robots but they all have something in common: GPUs, CPUs, NPUs, TPUs, DRAM. And the moats for those companies already manufacturing these processing units and memory are huge. The good news: one can practically count these companies on two hands.
We live about a half-mile away from several of the largest big-box stores imaginable -- everything from HEB to Walmart. It's a nice walk for me. Right now I ride my bike but it's a pain to carry more than a few items home. Walking, I can drag a wagon. Not so much fun. But here we go:
It's just a matter of time. "Everyone" in Silicon Valley now uses them. It's just a matter of time before Silicon Valley golf courses mandate them (purchase or rent).
And, from there, it's just a small step for folks like me to use for grocery shopping. My hunch, 90% of Americans live within walking distance of a grocery story.
I track "the next big thing" at the side bar at the right but seldom update it any more; it has become overwhelming.

Electric Bikes For Those Under 18
A year ago, I saw maybe one or two kids (under the age of 18) on one of these things. Now, they are ubiquitous. If you are fourteen years old and don't have an electric bike you are quickly losing pace with your peers.
The city tried to establish regulations -- they did -- but about all they could do was enforce use of helmets. These kids ride them every where -- either side of the street; through intersections whether controlled by traffic lights or not.

Door Dash -- The Middle School Edition
You know the real reason schools banned cell phones from middle- and high schools?
I learned this from our 11-year-old granddaughter Sophia.
Middle school students no longer need to prepare brown-bag lunches or snacks for after-school extra-curricular activities.
They now "doordash" what they need. I am not kidding.
