CNBC
First Hour: Jim Cramer
I remain impressed how much information Carl Q has in his binder. Amazing.
China: Cramer has lost his "interest" in China's leadership; infers that China's leader has disappointed him.
- China no longer has what "we" expect from China. -- Cramer
- China acts as if they "are on top," acts as if "they are in control" when in fact, having major problems

EVs
Tesla links this morning:
- update on Europe;
- Carl Q sees it differently. Depends on what one is measuring.
Local:
- our neighbor, a 30-something, married, has an early model Chevy Bolt
- bought it about 18 months ago
- early conversation with him: very happy with purchase
- yesterday: more reserved
- would now recommend a hybrid rather than an EV
- two comments:
- range was his biggest concern; his commute is less than seven miles each way
- says advertised range was ~ 200 miles but due to "battery protection" guidelines (the 80/20 rule), he gets about 100 miles between charging
- he didn't say it but he inferred, second issue, literally always thinking about charging
- often "has" to slow charge from his garage (120 volt) because the installed super-chargers in our apartment complex aren't always working
- management has said that periodically: that management is aware that chargers are not working and they are working the issue
- very, very interesting conversation
- an extended family member in town; rented from Enterprise
- given a brand new Toyota Camry, hybrid -- had 11 miles (no typo) on odometer
- it literally came off the truck yesterday; washed, detailed, filled with gas;
- our extended family member who has the rental was unaware it was a hybrid;
- never mentioned by Enterprise; possibly the young agent did not know
- driver noted it only because it was so incredibly quiet

Chicken Marsala
Easy, easy, easy.
Delicious, delicious, delicious.
Ingredients:
Total time: 30 minutes and it's really rewarding to make; so simply, so delicious
- servings: four
What it's all about:
- two large chicken breasts; cut lengthwise to make thinner cutlets;
- then physically tenderize
- pan-fry the chicken
- have ingredients ready to add as instructed in link below
Ingredients and comments:
- Marsala wine: may be slightly difficult to find
- dry, not sweet
- two best brands
- Florio
- Carlo Martinez
- Sherry, dry: not in recipe linked above but mentioned elsewhere: add 1/4 cup dry sherry
- mushrooms: hard to find cremini mushrooms; I don't think it matters a lot; sliced white mushrooms seem to be just fine
Cost:
- cost at home: under $5 per serving
- restaurant: good luck spending less than $25 at nice restaurant for same dinner
