Tesla investors are different than those who invest in Ford, GM.
The former are living the dream; don't care about margins, free cash flow, profits, dividends, or moats. The latter -- those who invest in Ford, GM -- tend to watch these things.
The former invest in a dream, not a stock. The latter tend to look at their options: GM or F or 15,000 other ticker symbols.
Wells Fargo understands that.
This doesn't mean that GM and/or F are not great trading stocks.
