Ford and Volkswagen extend partnership.
Ford will produce a second electric vehicle for its European market based on its German rival's platform, Volkswagen's modular electric-drive platform, aka MEB.
Ford to introduce three new electric passenger vehicles and four new electric commercial vehicles in Europe by 2024, planning to sell more than 600,000 EVs in the region by 2026.
In all, Ford unveiled plans for seven new electric models in Europe, a battery-assemble site in Germany, and a nickel cell manufacturing joint venture in Turkey as part of a major EV push on the continent.
