Santa Claus Rally: last five trading days of December, and first two trading days of January. This year, December 24th was a half day of trading, so I will start on December 23, 2020.

Tuesday, January 5, 2021: full day -- last day of the seven-day Santa Claus rally.
- the market bounces back very nicely
- on top of that, WTI surges; over $50/bbl for the first time in a long time
Monday, January 4, 2021: full day
- as predicted, all things being equal, I predicted the the market would surge on the first day of trading in 2021
- the Dow is up almost 200 points shortly before the market opens
- later: bummer -- market tanks; down one percent; tech led the sell-off; I absolutely did not expect this

- four major indices hit all-time highs yesterday; likely to happen again today;
- market takes a very, very slight pause after yesterday's huge rally;
Monday, December 28, 2020: full day -- day 3
