Note To The Granddaughters
NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft:
- is 11 billion miles from earth
- has now entered the heliopause [interstellar space] (the boundary between hot solar wind and cold, interstellar space)
- was launched 41 years ago
- but even at 11 billion miles from earth, Voyager 2 is still inside the solar system
- Quick: how much longer will it take Voyage 2 to reach the boundary of the solar system?
- 3 months
- 3 years
- 30 years
- 300 years
- 30,000 years
