Random Update on Slawson's Upper Bakken Shale Drilling Program; EOG's Plans for 6 Wells On A 320-Acre Spacing Unit

A little closer look at two interesting cases in the November NDIC dockets, cases 19087 and 19211:

Case 19087, 2,14, and 22-146-104, Squaw Gap, Slawson, 5 wells on each of those three 640-acre spacing units (sections 2, 14, and 22). This is an interesting little field. I blogged about it earlier this year with an update a month later:

June 16, 2012: Slawson Drilling the Upper Bakken; Slawson says it is drilling the "upper" Bakken, very interested in the area along the Montana-North Dakota border.

There are several wells in this field, but they were all drilled several years ago, some of them were drilled many years ago. The earlier Bakken wells in this field are all very short horizontals, shorter than the conventional "short" laterals, and although they took a long time to reach 100,000 bbls, they are turning out to be nice wells, based on cumulative production.

Case 19211, W/2, 17-151-94, Antelope-Sanish, EOG, 6 wells on a 320-acre spacing unit. If you were to stand in the middle of section 17, and take out your binoculars, and scare the antelope away, you would see, 1.5 miles in all directions,
